The blue responses are our direct translation of Shohei's answers and the

Analyst Notes:

are our commentary on the interpretation of Shohei's responses. Finally, we finish with a grade of the interpreter.

[Interpreter Grade]: ? See Below

Kirsten: Shohei, congratulations. How exciting was it to break Dave Roberts’ record?

[Translation]: Congratulations. Dave Roberts Manager record you passed do you have an opinion?

Shohei:

[Translation]:  I feel relieved.

Will: I feel refreshed.

Kirsten: He told us about the toy car. Just kind of give us the back story that went into that and the surprise you had for him.

[Translation]: Surprise present car toy you handed over can you explain please?

[Translation]: He said he wanted a car so I am happy he is happy.

Will: He said he wanted a car and I'm glad that he was happy he got a car.

Fabian Reporter: Do you normally like doing pranks like that?

[Translation]: Yes, I like that they laugh and would like to do again and again in the future.

Will: Yes, I like to make people laugh and I'm hoping I could do more of these.

Kirsten: Last night, just the bottom of the 10th to get that hit to kind of tie the game just how much of a relief was that moment for you and then to kind of turn around and have a big hit today, just do the kind of things, feel like you're there in a really good spot as of late?

[Translation]: Yesterday, bottom of the 10th, you hit the hit, this time important performance…

Dave Roberts: Excuse me. Excuse me. I wanted to interrupt this session and show everybody

the present I received from Shohei yesterday. So tonight he passed me for the Japanese born Dodger home run record. So Shohei, I just want to say congratulations.

Shohei: Thank you.

Dave Roberts: And thank you very much. This is my car. The difference is Joe's car doesn't fit in my office. This car fits on my desk. So thank you, Shohei.

Reporter: Is he gonna get him a real car?

Dave Roberts: Bye guys.

Reporter: The question still holds.

Will: Yes.

Reporter: He is?

[Translation]: Real car you are gonna buy?

Shohei: I don’t know.

[Translation]: If we win the World Series, I’ll think about it.

Will: If we win the World Series, I'll think about it.

Analyst Notes: The rare perfect translation by Will.

Reporter: How did that idea come about? How did you think of putting that prank on him?

[Translation]: This gag’s idea, where did it come from?

[Translation]: Miss Watson said what do you think about doing this?

Will: Miss Watson said that it's probably a good idea.

Reporter: Is that the biggest prank you pulled in the major or just in baseball general?

[Translation]: In the majors, is this your biggest gag?

Shohei:

[Translation]: I don’t know, I don’t know.

Will: Not exactly sure if this was the biggest prank.

Bill Reporter: This is ten wins in the last twelve games since that bad homestand. What do you see the team doing during this run? Why are they playing so well?

[Translation]: These 12 games, 10 wins, before condition not good, as a team did something change?

[Translation]: We definitely had losing streaks. Whenever something is going on, we have meetings. Players-only meetings too. Players that play and those that don’t play, doesn’t matter, we all share opinions. This environment…it is my first year, but it is great I think.

Will: I noticed that we're very proactive as a team to addressing any issues we have, whether that be starters or non-starters, it really doesn't matter. And this is my first year here so I'm very impressed with how that team is very proactive about it.

Reporter Fabian: What's the difference with that from maybe years past? How different of an  environment is this just to ensure that losing streaks sort of don't last all that long?

[Translation]: Yes, Dodgers’ environment and before environment, in losing streaks you had, getting out of losing streaks , factors your new team has right?

[Translation]: Hm. I’m not sure. I don’t want to dwell on the past, but everyone here has a high level of professionalism. Everyone plays well in not only the games, but preparations and practices. The things they have to do, they do diligently and this is the result is what I see and think. So I think there are a lot of those players here.

Will: Yeah, I can really just speak on behalf of this team, current team. All the players are very professional with the way they go about preparing for the game and how we play the game as well.

Deputy Dorado: Last one, guys.

Reporter: With runners in scoring position, you went to center field last night and left field tonight. Is that part of it what you're trying, a new approach or something different you're trying to do?

[Translation]: Runners in scoring position, center hit and opposite field hit you had, do you have a new approach?

[Translation]: Nothing particularly I have changed, I definitely make an effort not to change anything I think, but I think the pitches I was getting was leading me into those directions.

Will: I haven't consciously made any major adjustments or approach changes but the pitches

that I'm getting are making me hit in those directions.

Deputy Dorado: Thanks Will.

[Interpreter Grade]: F, we hate Will here and he is probably the worst translator in the league based on the responsibility and importance of his work and we can only pray that someone better comes along more professional and committed.
